The highly anticipated Switch port of the horror RPG’s OMOCAT, Omori, was one of the featured games in Japan’s Indie World rollout. And the presentation also confirms the official release date of the game – June 17th!

Indie World trailer (starts at approx 12h00 minutes in) gives us a taste of what we can expect – pastel, colorful worlds; unusual enemies; and our greatest fear. Omori follows a young boy who wakes up in a “White Space” where he must confront his fears and secrets. The game has received praise for its depiction of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, and guilt, and it uses the Emotions in Battle system, which works similarly to Triangle. weapon in Fire Emblem series.
We’ll keep an eye out to see if we get any more specifics on Omori’s release date, but June 17 seems like the last date to pick this one up.
