The Toyota Prius Prime plug-in hybrid has lower rental costs than the Prius hybrid—although Prime has a higher list price. That’s because Toyota is applying a federal tax credit to this Japanese-made plug-in that applies to leases but not purchases.
Dieselgate lingers in the courts, even with the most senior CEOs. But “multi-function vehicle” is another vehicle — such as the European Explorer EV — that won’t come to the US, while Ford focuses some or all of its electric efforts on larger EVs.
