Price of Toyota Fortuner in Malaysia increased to RM 13,327 – now from RM 179,880 OTR including sales tax
Toyota Fortuner is another model with revised price list in Malaysia, effective from 1st March 2022. The SUV has been Updated last November and at the time we were offered uninsured street prices but sales tax included.
The new price of the locally assembled SUV (CKD) continues to be affected by sales tax and is significantly higher than before. Starting with diesel variants, the 2.4 AT 4×4 is now priced at RM 179,880, RM 10,713 more than before. The same can be said about the 2.8 VRZ AT 4×4, which retails at RM220,880, or RM13,327 compared to before.
As for the single petrol-powered product – 2.7 SRZ AT 4×4, it is now priced at RM186,880, making it RM10,511 more expensive than before. All variants continue to come with a five-year, unlimited-kilometer warranty, and they retain the same specifications as of the November 2021 update.
Under the bonnet, the 2.4 AT 4×4 gets a 2GD-FTV 2.4-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 150 PS and 400 Nm of torque, while the 2.8 VRZ has a 2.8-liter engine. liter 1GD-FTV higher capacity with 204 PS and 500 Nm.
Meanwhile, the 2.7 SRZ petrol engine is equipped with a 2TR-FE 2.7 liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine that produces 166 PS and 245 Nm of power.
