Churchill Downs Incorporated announced on 9 January that Presque Isle Downs & Casinoswholly owned subsidiary of the company, entered into a multi-year agreement with a wholly owned subsidiary of bet365 Group in the United States for online sports betting and market access. iGaming in Pennsylvania, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
CDI CEO Bill Carstanjen said: “We are delighted to partner with a world leader in the online gaming industry. “Our relationship with bet365 allows us to maximize the value of our sports betting operations and access our company’s iGaming market in Pennsylvania.”
The bet365 deal is consistent with CDI’s strategy of exiting the online sports and casino businesses, monetizing the company’s access to the iGaming and online sports markets, while focusing on growth TwinSpires online horse racing betting business.
A spokesperson for bet365 said: “Following our Ohio launch, we are delighted to announce our partnership with Churchill Downs Incorporated. “Once live, the world’s most beloved online sports betting brand will be available to sports fans in Pennsylvania, offering great features of the site, including Boost Bets, Bets Bets. Same Match, Withdraw and Edit Bets, in addition to our market leading signup offer.”
