Pregnant Pit Bull refuses to give birth when adoptive mother sees her ultrasound

Chris and Mariesa’s visit to the shelter turns out to be just the luck a dog needs.

Storie, a heavily pregnant dog, refused to go into labor at the county kennel because she felt uncomfortable giving birth in shelter conditions.

Mariesa and Chris were looking for a dog to take care of, one they could take home immediately, one that was about to give birth. They saw a small hound in the shelter with a bloated belly and knew it was a hound.

When they took Storie to the vet and gave her an ultrasound, they were surprised to find that she was nursing 12 puppies inside of her.

The couple quickly started preparing the crib in the house as they are expecting Storie to go into labor in the next few days.

To their surprise, Storie went into labor that same night, just 18 hours after being released from the shelter. She is really just waiting for a loving home to be born!

The story and the couple welcome 12 new puppies into the world. Chris and Marissa kept an eye on one puppy each to keep before putting the rest up for adoption.

With the help of Pibbles and More Animal Rescue (with whom the couple raised Storye), all the pups found new loving homes. We are very happy that people like Chris and Mariesa exist in this world. We need more dog lovers like them!
