The owner of an influential rap blog has passed away. Initial reports said that the businessman was unable to fight off the complications of Covid, MTO News has learned.
Raysean Autry is the co-founder of KollegeKidd.com, a hip hop culture and news website with over 1.2 million followers on Instagram.
Raysean’s grieving brother, PJ Taylor, 29, told The Sun: “He passed away on December 29 from Covid pneumonia.
“He was hospitalized for at least a few weeks in Toledo, Ohio.
“He’s 34. We’re blindsided by his death. We can’t even celebrate the holiday.

“His brother Rich is still in the hospital. They’re on the same floor.”
Raysean’s twin brother Rich is another co-founder of KollegeKidd.com.
The couple started the blog together in November 2011 and built it into a leading source of hip hop news on the internet.
PJ explained that the family has yet to tell Rich to protect him while he battles Covid.
He said: “Rich still doesn’t know. He’s still in the ICU. We didn’t want to tell him and raise his stats and something was wrong.
“I don’t think he’ll know until Ray is buried, January 10 is the date right now.
“He will be buried in Toledo but we are still choosing the cemetery.”
PJ added: “Ray and Rich lived in LA but they’ve been back to Toledo for months and they’ve been sick here.
“They made Kollege Kidd a success from the moment they were in their dorm room.
“It was just hard work at one point before it was even profitable. They had to pick one and they slept, man.
“They have to go to work, come home, work with Kollege Kidd. That’s all.
“You’ll see them working on Kollege Kidd 24/7, just being together 24/7.
“To this day, when they’re still in their hospital bed, they still post until they can’t anymore.”
Raysean left behind a daughter, who PJ says is “10 years older now”.
