The Pokémon Company has announced its intention to acquire the company responsible for printing Pokémon Trading Card Game media. The company has fully entered into an agreement to purchase Millennium Print Group, located in North Carolina, for an undisclosed amount.
Millennium Print Group was responsible for the manufacturer of Pokémon Trading Card Game products since 2015, production much sought after cards for the popular pastime, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The company’s acquisition of the company by The Pokémon Company reflects the company’s commitment and belief in Pokémon Franchising.
“The talented team at Millennium Print Group have been an important partner of The Pokémon Company International for many years, helping us to bring Pokémon Trading Card Game to our fans with the quality they expect,” said Pokémon Company International President Kenji Okubo. in a press statement.
“By joining forces in a more meaningful way, our goal is to enhance the way our organizations work together and continue to bring the highest quality Pokémon TCG products to market. At the same time, we aim to evolve Millennium into an even better, larger, more modern version of their already exceptional organization that will not only benefit Pokémonbut all their customers. ”
