Monday’s incident comes just months after a 2-year-old girl in Turkey killed a similar snake while she was playing in her backyard. Shade room previous report.
“Our neighbor told me the snake was in my child’s hand, she played with it and then it bit her,” Mehmet Ercan, the toddler’s father, told Newsweek. “She then bit back the snake as a response.”
The toddler, who was not named, survived and is still alive and well.

Neighbors found the toddler after hearing her screams coming from the backyard area. When the neighbors reached toddler age, she had a bite mark on her lip. But, the little girl was also bitten by a 20-inch snake between her teeth.
It is not clear how the snake died after the bite, but the toddler was taken to hospital for treatment. The toddler’s father was said to be at work when the snake attacked and took revenge. Doctors treated the girl at Bingol Children’s and Maternity Hospital.
Medical professionals monitored the child for 24 hours and determined that she was recovering well.
