Those who commute to work in Penang, take note. PLUS has announced the closure of two separate lanes for the next week, which could further increase congestion. One on ‘Line N’ on the island and one on the mainland, from Sg Dua to Juru.
The first is to close the left lane at Line N (CH 0.4 – CH 0.7) on the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway from Bayan Lepas to Georgetown. IJM Corp.’s job will close the lane from June 6 (next Tuesday) to June 10 (Saturday), 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Another lane closure involves the rightmost lane at the PLUS expressway from Sg Dua to Juru (KM 138.50 – KM 139.30) southbound, just after the Penang Bridge exit. As for the road surface improvement work, this work will be done from June 9 (next Friday) to June 10, from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. the next day.
Extra traffic is a certainty, so exercise patience, follow signage and crew instructions at your work site, and drive safely.
