Peru protests: Historic building in Lima catches fire as protests continue
A historic building in Lima caught fire on Friday as protests against Peruvian President Dina Boluarte continued.
Firefighters fought to put out the blaze and it is thought the building, on Plaza San Martín, was empty of people.
Dozens of people have been killed in weeks of protests in Peru, after former leader Pedro Castillo was ousted.
The protesters want Ms Boluarte to step aside and call for new elections, and demand that Mr. Castillo, her leftist predecessor, be released.
