Perodua Myvi G4 concept – a racing hatchback with full-width exterior LED lights; rendered by Saharudin Design
Remember last year Proton Saga Knight Concept by head of MIMOS design Saharudin Busri? Well, he’s back at it again, this time with a brand new three-dimensional rendering of the next-gen Perodua Myvi.
Like many of his creations, Saharudin prefers a more streamlined exterior design with as few lines as possible, inspired by some of Volvo’s latest models as well as Mk8 Volkswagen Golf GTI.
The latter is evident in the styling of the full-width LED DRLs, which Volkswagen is beginning to incorporate across its model range. This creates a strong and superficial appearance, which is further accentuated by a set of giant 5-double-spoke tri-color wheels and flared rear arches.
Other special features include slim rearview mirror with integrated LED indicator strips (with chrome accents!), flat door handles, quick-swipe A-pillars, near-flat roofline, and decent moldings. stretch.
Take a closer look at the rearview mirror – it actually curves towards the C-pillars, creating a sleek wraparound effect that’s barely seen on production cars. This is impractical and expensive to manufacture and/or replace, but cool nonetheless.
The styling of the LED taillights also seems to be inspired by Volkswagen group cars, even a little Renault. There’s no flushing advice here, not even an embellisher. Finishing details include the Perodua script and the “Myvi 2022” badging on the rear doors.
If you want to see what the interior looks like, don’t worry, that will come at a later stage. For now, all we can see from the video are things like the three-tone leather seats, all red dashboard with two center vents, red steering wheel, ambient lighting, integrated infotainment screen and full digital equipment.
