Pergear unveiled the new CFexpress Type B card in three versions: Lite, Pro and Ultra. Lite cards come in two capacities, 64GB, which promises a maximum write speed of 90MB/s and a maximum read speed of 300MB/s; and 128GB, which offers a maximum write speed of 250MB/s (with a sustained 200MB/s) and a maximum read speed of 1,000MB/s. The Lite cards cost $65 and $100 for the 64GB and 128GB versions, respectively.
The Pro cards offer higher capacity and better performance at a higher price point. The 256GB the card promises 400MB/s write speed (and 360MB/s continuous write performance) and 1,200MB/s read speed. Meanwhile, 512GB the card offers higher peak and faster sustained write speeds of 750MB/s and 700MB/s respectively and the same maximum read speed of 1,200MB/s. The Pro cards cost $140 for 256GB and $200 for 512GB.
Ultimately, the Ultra cards maximize both performance and capacity, and even though they cost the most, they still undercut the competition comfortably. For both 1TB and 2TB The card has the highest write speed, according to Pergear, of 1,400MB/s, with a promised sustained write speed of 1,300MB/s, while the maximum read speed offered is 1,600MB/s. The 1TB Ultra card is $400, while the 2TB card costs $600.
