Bukit Aman JSPT (traffic investigation and enforcement division) of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has established the Black Mamba Team to assist in traffic diversion and congestion relief during Hari Raya Aidiladha season, Sinar Harian reported.
Team Black Mamba is the brand new JSPT task force composed of officers and team members from Squad 42, the police department’s intelligence and operations unit. Bukit Aman JSPT Director Datuk Seri Mat Kasim Karim said.
This is a specially trained unit, he added, skilled in performing a variety of tasks related to several elements of the JSPT and related assets including high-powered motorcycles.
Consisting of two senior officers and 22 members with assets including high-powered motorcycles, Team Black Mamba performs tasks such as monitoring micro-organisms, said Bukit Aman, JSPT director, Bukit Aman. traffic offenses, planned operations, escort duties, observation, patrol and enforcement.
Road users are reminded to focus on safety aspects to avoid accidents and obey road rules for the safety of themselves and other road users, while the frequency of enforcement and Monitoring helps ensure that road users obey traffic rules, he said.
