Orphans struggling without their mothers smell familiar scents
Madeleine with the Fort Worth Abandoned Animals Coalition agreed to adopt two puppies she named Reeses and Snickers. She knows puppies will live better in a house than in a shelter. But even out of that tiny cage and with a loving adoptive mother, the puppies still suffer from depression.
The little dog sadly didn’t eat much, especially Snickers. At this point, their survival is not promised. Madeleine did her best to help the kids and tried her best. Nothing helps. Then, as if the universe understood their plight, a text message appeared on her screen. The rescue president believes they have found Reeses and Snicker’s mother!
When the little black dog was introduced to the puppies, everyone held their breath. It only took a few seconds for the puppies to recognize that familiar smell. The baby mice that used to lazily jumped on the mother. And, of course, the mother’s aching heart for her child is finally filled again. Their reunion is precious!
All three dogs celebrate life in their new foster home. The puppies are becoming more confident and mischievous. And mom was proud to be there every four-legged step! Feeding animals in need is an essential part of getting pets into their permanent homes. Consider becoming a nurturer today!
