Extra onions have been recalled in Canada over fears of salmonella contamination, the Canadian Meals Inspection Company says.
On Monday, the meals company stated it’s recalling Dorsey model, MVP model, Pier-C model, and Riga Farms model onions as a result of doable salmonella contamination.
The yellow and white onions, imported from Mexico, had been offered in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador, the CFIA stated in an announcement.
The federal government company warned shoppers to not eat merchandise or meals containing the uncooked onions. Retailers, distributors, producers, and meals service institutions are warned to not serve, use, or promote stated greens.
