A one-year-old boy died after falling from the window of an apartment complex, police said.
Officers were called to the block in Saville Green, Leedsby ambulance service around 1.25pm on Saturday.
The baby was taken to hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead a short time later, West Yorkshire Police said.
The force added that investigations are being carried out to determine the full circumstances surrounding his death.
“This incident is being treated as a sudden sudden childhood death and we ask everyone to consider their family and respect their privacy at a time that is clearly very difficult for them.” , a spokesman said.
