A shelter dog that has time and again given up on life. His gray face and immobility showed that the boy was about 10 years old. Senior dogs are especially difficult to keep, let alone Pit Bulls.
He has two things going against him: lineage and age. He has arthritis, and moving around is painful! The poor dog is at the top of the list of euthanasia.
The senior dog’s arthritis made it painful to move. The poor boy lay in his crib as the days passed. The puppy, later named Leo, was fortunately pulled from the shelter by a rescue team that specializes in Pit Bulls. Just then, a woman named Deanna appeared. She met Leo and as she says in the video, “The rest is history.” The sequel to Leo’s story is incredible!
Deanna had Leo’s vet do a thorough check up and it turned out that Pibble was only 5 years old! Yes, Leo has a gray face and painful arthritis but his condition is due to poor nutrition and lack of exercise. People have made too many assumptions about Leo and these assumptions could cost him his life!
What’s even better is that when Leo was brought into a loving home, he really came out of his shell. Deanna explained that he must have spent the first few years living outside because he didn’t know how to “dog”, but then everything changed! This story is awesome! We’re so glad Leo found his forever family just in time!
