NY ‘Drill Rap’ Gang ROB & BEAT Members Innocent teenagers. . . On TikTok !!
A group of aspiring rappers in New York Drill went viral yesterday, after they posted a video on TikTok showing them robbing and lashing out at two teenage boys with pistols, MTO News has reported.
And while the videos get a lot of attention from rappers, they can also land the guys in substantial jail time.
Here is the video:
In the video, the rappers are seen pulling two teenage boys who were sitting on a park bench. Drill rappers tap into teenagers — and ask them “where are you from.” The teenagers were frozen in fear and unresponsive.
That’s when one of the rappers drilled a gun and shot the teenager in the face.
The New York City Police Department is battling against a new trend – a string of gun violence involving young rappers that can be connected to their indulgent musical style whose lyrics focus on dangers of criminal activity.
Drill music is a subgenre of hip-hop that features slow tempo, somber, candid lyrics, focus on the dangers of criminal activity and emotionless sympathies.
The nihilistic rap style started in Chicago in the 2010s but has since expanded around the world. The hip-hop style has amassed a strong following in Brooklyn and is accused of being a driving factor in the recent rise in gun violence directed at up-and-coming rappers.
