Noble M500 almost ready for production with Ford GT EcoBoost V6

The clear, strong, unfiltered flavors the British can lack in the food they save for their beer and their cars. In 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Brother sport car inventor Noble introduced a prototype called the M500 that becomes a lower-end option than the M600. Four years later, eight full-time Noble employees have a pre-production version ready to show off and undergoing final testing. The M600 is equipped with a turbocharged, mid-mounted version of the 4.4-liter V8 that Yamaha has developed for Volvo generating 650 hp, with a steel tubular frame fitted carbon fiber body panels on a tubular chassis, and cost around £200,000 ($275,000). As with the prototype, M500 will be powered by the twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in Ford GT generates about 550 hp and 600 pound-feet of torque, will feature a 70% similar evolution of the M600 chassis in fiberglass panels, and cost around £150,000 ($206,000).

Each horse is sent to the rear wheel. The predicted production wet weight of 1,250 kg (2,756 pounds) should deliver 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds, to a top speed of nearly 200 mph. Noble will offer the option of full carbon body panels for buyers willing to spend more money to reduce weight a bit.

C7 Chevrolet Corvette the headlights have been stuck since 2018, so are the Citroën C4 Picasso taillights. For an all-around direct driving experience, the key revision sees the M500 ditch the prototype’s dual-clutch transmission for a six-speed manual transmission from Graziano. The steering will be hydraulic, the four-corner double wishbone suspension will come with passive dampers, and there will be no ABS as well. air bag. The M500 will be “slightly less visceral” than the M600. The standard Recaro Podium carbon seats can be converted for more elegance, a slightly wider cabin for extra elbow play, and two large screens that convey a ton of gauge and infotainment information. However, Noble may have been heavy-handed with Alcantara.

If 2022 doesn’t erect any more obscene hurdles, the first M500s will be delivered to customers later this year, with an annual production target of 50 units. Unfortunately, unlike British food and beer, Noble is not expected to make it to the US
