Nintendo runs out of replacement parts for Wii U, ending repair service in Japan
Last May, Nintendo’s Japanese language support service Revealed that it will end repairs for Wii U when their current spare parts inventory ran out. Now, in an update just over a year later on their website, they have announced that service for this system (originally released in 2012) has officially ended.

This includes Wii U peripherals. You can check it out on Nintendo’s official website. Many other systems no longer accept repairs.including previous generation products.

Nintendo discontinued its Wii U repair service in North America and elsewhere years ago, so nothing has changed locally. This comes after the Japanese video game giant also closing online servers for Wii U (as well as 3DS) earlier this year, marking the end of both generations.
