2023 Sony Open Fantasy golf expert chooses
One thing Holliman is sure of this week is that Kim will hit the mark. “There is good reason for the high price,” said the expert, “but he will be worth it.” His two wins in his first 15 PGA Tour events are just the continuation of a dominant career that has included 11 appearances in various tournaments around the world. “The kid knows how to win,” said Holliman, and he was one of the most accurate dribblers on the tour. Kim placed sixth on the tour in both driving accuracy and green regulation. Waialae rewards accuracy and ball placement, so this should be a perfect match.
In the opposite direction, Holliman does not see many opportunities for Matsuyama to repeat his feat, so he is tarnishing the defending champion. The Japanese star has had his best putting week of the season so far – and third best in steering accuracy – but still needs a spectacular comeback to win. This is his first time finishing in the top 10 after nine attempts at Waialae. He doesn’t usually hit straight enough to regularly compete in a course like this.
