A familiar name — Patrick Mahomes — is currently the favorite to lead the 2024-25 passing yardage race at +650.
Mahomes has only led the NFL in passing yards once, in the 2022-23 season.
Mahomes now has 28,424 passing yards, surpassing the 25,000-yard mark in just 83 games and becoming the fastest player in NFL history to surpass that mark.
However, he had his second-lowest passing yardage season last year, with just 4,183 passing yards.

Compare that to his first five seasons (2018-2022), when Mahomes completed 40.8% of his passes of 20-plus yards downfield, with 42 touchdowns and just 14 interceptions.

Despite only throwing the ball on 57.4 percent of his snaps, Tagovailoa still managed to rack up the most passing yards in a single season. The Dolphins ranked 15th—basically in the middle of the pack—in passing percentage.
