Suzume no Tojimarinew movie from Your name director Makoto Shinkai, has received a November release date. The film will open in Japanese theaters on November 11, 2022. A new main visual also gives fans their first look at the character. the film’s heroine, a schoolgirl named Suzume.
The film first appeared in a reveal event returns in December 2021. Shinkai describes it as a modern road drama in which the main characters will travel around Japan. The main character, Suzume, is a 17-year-old schoolgirl from the Kyushu region who meets a boy looking for a strange door. Upon finding the door and opening it, Suzume begins a chain reaction that opens other mysterious doors across the country and causes havoc. The film follows Suzume as she travels across the country to find and close these doors.

The new main image shares some similarities with the first promotional image, but has a few notable differences. First, the image now features Suzume in the front and center, looking out the back and holding a wooden chair. The door in front of her was now also ajar, and a strange light emitted from within. The announcement tweet implies that the open door and wooden chair may have some hidden meaning.
