New AI software will fix any photo
the impossible is new software that uses artificial intelligence to identify the subject of an image and automatically make complex adjustments. The best part about the software is that it is extremely easy to use and it works inside of Lightroom. The downside is that you have to pay for each image you run through the software.
Impossible Things is not for every type of photographer. Basically, it can automatically make the same adjustments a person can make within 10 to 30 seconds. If you have to edit a single photo, it will literally take you longer to open the app than it does for you to make adjustments yourself. However, if you have hundreds or thousands of photos to edit (such as wedding and event photographers have to deal with), the impossible might be perfect for you.
Let’s say it takes you 15 seconds to edit an image and you have 1,000 images to look through. That lasted more than four hours. The Impossible can help you for $0.06/image ($60). Would you pay $60 to get four hours of your life back? The answer for most event photographers is yes.
As you can see in the video above, the software is simple, fast, and much better than Lightroom’s automated options. That being said, it’s still far from perfect and will require one more manual turn before shipping. For this reason, photographers who shoot only a few events per month may want to keep doing everything manually, but photographers shooting multiple events per week will likely see more value. while saving more time.
I’m so excited to see how the impossible and other AI-based software will improve in the coming months. In the very near future, software like this will work better than humans, and when that happens, we are in trouble.
