Netflix introduces electric cars from GM and others in the show
LOS ANGELES — Netflix has revealed a new star for some of its upcoming shows: tram from common engine and other car companies.
The streaming service announced a deal on Thursday to showcase vehicles that include chevrolet Bolt, GMC electric Hummer pickup trucks and Cadillac Lyriq in TV series and movies “if relevant.”
The companies will highlight the partnership in a commercial featuring Will Ferrell that will air on February 12 super bowl. Netflix and GM called the deal “part of a commitment to a more sustainable future.”
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Netflix says it will help creators “gain better understand how electric vehicles can complement and enhance their stories.”
Programs that will showcase GM’s electric vehicles include “Love is blind“”queer eyes” And “Unstable.”
The company says Netflix products will also include electric vehicles made by other automakers.
