Countless racing fans around the world have fallen in love garage 56 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in 24 Hours of Le Mans this year. The roaring NASCAR stock car is an attraction in France between the field of sports prototypes and GT cars. Many are disappointed that the unique project has only one scheduled Le Mans appearance. NASCAR now confirmed that Camaro will appear this weekend Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Garage 56 Camaro will make seven hill climbs of the British estate over the weekend, with 2009 F1 champion Jenson Button and 2010 Le Mans winner Mike Rockenfeller taking turns behind the wheel. The duo collaborated with Seven-time NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson at Le Mans and will now do the 1.16-mile hill climb to celebrate NASCAR’s 75th anniversary.

John Doonan, IMSA President and Garage 56 Program Manager, said in a statement:
“The Garage 56 program has been a huge success for us in introducing more motorsport fans from around the world to NASCAR. Bringing the Garage 56 to the Goodwood Festival of Speed gives us another opportunity to bring the world of classic cars to fans of a variety of sports cars.”
NASCAR seems to have created its own global popularity with its Garage 56 show, and Australian Supercar champion Shane van Gisbergen won the Chicago street opening race. And it looks like the stock racing organization has no plans to stop.
