Mushroom of War 2 has been proudly carrying on the legacy of its predecessors. Original Mushroom war became one of the pioneers of the RTS genre on the previous generation of consoles, introducing intuitive gamepad support for controlling massive swarms of mushrooms of up to 4000 on-screen units.
We wanted to keep the authentic look and feel of the original game but make it look more modern. Finally, we made the image more realistic and scaled it up a bit. We recreated one of the original multiplayer maps that was very popular to make sure nothing broke and the game still feels the same.
To make multiplayer more fun and remove the snowball effect, we’ve added heroes from four different tribes. Each hero has four unique skills that can dramatically impact the battlefield and surprise opponents. We’ve also introduced a 2v2 mode, so players can now compete in teams and different heroes’ different skills can lead to interesting synergy effects. With this addition, the proven gameplay of the original game really shines.
For players who want to play along and dive into the world of Mushrooms, we’ve prepared a story-driven campaign. An unknown enemy caused mischief in Mushroom folklore, and once friendly neighbors began to fight each other. Lead the Mushroom Army and make peace! You will become a general of the Mushroom Army. As a fearless commander and skillful strategist, your role is to fight opposing tribes, capture and hold settlements, defense towers and weapons, scale up Mushroom’s force. friends, conquer the battlefield and finally solve the grandfather’s Mushroom mystery.
