MotoGP 2023: KTM Red Bull Factory Racing launched

Combining the new with the old is Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and its KTM RC16 for the 2023 MotoGP season. This year, the factory team from Mattighofen, Austria, will incorporate South African four-season racer Brad Binder with Australian Jack Miller, who joined KTM from Ducati.

Miller brings with him nine seasons of racing experience in MotoGP and related classes, and is the only rider in the current MotoGP field to win a GP riding three different brands. Plus, Miller also has four wins and 22 podiums in the top tier of motorcycling.

KTM Factory Racing is now entering its seventh year of MotoGP competition, with seven MotoGP championships, 18 podiums and three poles since 2017. In 2022, the team finished second in the Team Championships. , after the Ducati Corse.

KTM motorsports director Pit Bierer acknowledged the pressure on the team after KTM CEO Stefan Pierer set an ambitious target of winning the MotoGP world championship, a milestone that has been slower two years from now. “We are entering our seventh season but I feel like six years ago it was amazing to build the project to this level and to already have these victories and podiums in place,” Bierer said.

“It’s been a crazy journey and we’ve enjoyed it but it’s not enough to just ‘be there’ anymore and be a good, organized team; We need results,” he said.
