Moss Point man thankful for support after tornado destroys his roof | News


Moss Level, MS. (WALA) — Charlie Myles stays upbeat after his dwelling was hit by a twister Wednesday evening.

The sunshine revealed the harm left behind. He says it began with two loud bangs. 

“As I stood up, there was a second bang. That’s once I realized {that a} twister had hit me as a result of that they had already informed me that we had been within the warning space,” Myles stated.

In line with the Nationwide Climate Service, it was an EF-1 twister with 95 mile per hour winds. 

Thursday morning, Myles with assist from others cleaned up the particles left behind. 

He stated a number of rooms within the house had been broken due to the rain, however he’s grateful that it was solely possessions that had been misplaced. 

And due to that, he retains a smile on his face.

“God meant for all of us to be joyful. I’m taking a look at that. That’s all replaceable. However life may be very priceless to me. I can’t get replaced like that okay,” Myles stated.

Sadly, a lady was killed when the tornado flipped her car a number of instances.

As for Myles, he says he’s acquired over 20 cellphone calls from folks simply checking to see if he’s okay.
