Finally, we have a day for MinecraftHang & Cliffs Season 2 Update. On November 30, Mojang will change the game’s mountains and caves, adding new sub-biomes and allowing people to explore deeper than before. I’m looking forward to the new biomes in Lush Cave, which will be full of vines, moss and beautiful flowers. I think that would be a great location for an underground house.
So Caves & Cliffs Part 2 will add a new generation of terrain and allow players to explore beyond the current lowest layers. When you pass Y=0, you will hit the Deepslate layer where you can find ore veins. On top of that, you’ll find biomes in Lush Cave and Dripstone Cave. With the former bringing some greenery to Minecraft’s caves, and the latter adding stalactites and stalagmites.
On the ground, the mountains will be able to be higher, and there will be additional biomes. You’ve seen some of them before – flowers and bushes, rabbits and polar bears – but they will spawn at specific heights. Check out the full details in our Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Guide Part 2.
Mojang said We’ll also get candles on November 30th. Oh, lovely stuff. I wish there was another small light source that was more than just a basic torch. They also say that some details have been put on hold (like archeology and goat horns), but we’ll see those at some point in the future.
Elsewhere in the world of Minecraft, next year PC owners of either the Java or Bedrock edition will also have access to the other version as part of the game. Minecraft PC Pack.
In 2022 we’ll also see what’s beyond the Caves & Cliffs with Wild update. I’m looking forward to it – it comes with a frog swamp (!) and the Deep Dark biome that will introduce the Warden spooky mobs.
