Mikey Garcia predicts Canelo-GGG 3 and knocks out Wilder-Ruiz

Mikey Garcia, a former multi-division champion, has had his say on some of the most talked about fights in boxing.

The recently retired boxer who hung up his gloves boasts a record of 40-2, 30 KOs, spoke to first about the third fight between Saul ‘Canelo’ Álvarez and Gennady Golovkin.

The fight is on at 168lbs for Canelo’s undisputed super-medium belt. Golovkin is a two-time unified middleweight champion. He’s talked about weight gain throughout his career, and Garcia doesn’t believe the ‘Triple G’ weight gain will be a major factor in the fight. Still, he believed the Mexicans would win.

“I think it’s a good game, but I think Canelo will accept it.”

“They know each other a lot, so [the weight] don’t play too much [into it] because they had fought each other twice. Canelo is fighting in a higher weight class but he is not a giant by nature. Also, he starts off much smaller, so it won’t play as much of a role.

I just think Canelo is in a better moment – age and career wise – than Golovkin. It’s a good match because Golovkin will do his best to beat it, but I think Canelo will win. “

Canelo and Golovkin will settle their differences in the ring for the third time next Saturday in Las Vegas.
