“In my travels,” legendary former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson told New York Post. “I have seen that death is beautiful. Life and death must be beautiful, but death also has ugliness. The toad taught me that I won’t be here forever. There is an expiration date. ” Tyson spoke while in Miami about “Wonderhouse,” billed as “the biggest psychedelic event ever. The toad Tyson was talking about was the Sonoran desert toad. Post, “Its venom can be sucked to produce a short nerve trip.” Even though he claims he “died” on his first ride, Tyson swears by hallucinogen proof.

“Before I was a toad,” he said, “I was a wreck. The toughest opponent I’ve ever faced was myself. I had low self-esteem. People with large egos often have low self-esteem. We use our ego to subsidize that. The toad takes away the ego.” Follow Post, the former boxer known as Iron Mike has tripped over toad venom more than 50 times. “People see the difference,” Tyson declared. “It speaks for itself. If you knew me in 1989, you knew someone else. My mind is not sharp enough to understand what happened, but life has improved. The whole purpose of the toad is to reach your highest potential. I see the world in a different way. We are all the same. Everything is love.”

While it may sound strange at first to have an iconic former athlete sing the praises of hallucinogens, Tyson has always gone his own way, both for better and for worse. This man has demonstrated physical fortitude with certainty for decades, but he also shows that he has the mind to try new things. For example, he was a huge advocate of cannabis use for a while, even going as far as to have his own brand.

Tyson is also willing to put his money where his mouth is. Follow Post, “He invested in Wesana Health, a biotech company that is using psilocybin as a treatment for traumatic brain injury.” While seeing the guy once dubbed “the ugliest man on the planet” as a proponent of hallucinations doesn’t seem right, Tyson is making the rather serious effort of “I’m fighting for virtual Feeling becomes a drug you can buy over the counter,” he told Post. “I am not finished. I want to do more. I want to be the best I can be in this field.”
