Microsoft says about 8.5 million of its devices were affected by outages linked to CrowdStrike

“We currently estimate that CrowdStrike’s update affected 8.5 million Windows devices, or less than one percent of all Windows machines,” the blog said.

Microsoft said CrowdStrike helped develop a scalable solution that helps Microsoft’s Azure infrastructure speed up bug fixes, adding that the tech giant has partnered with both Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform to find “best practices.”
