Mercedes launches the new AMG Office Chair – based on the AMG Performance seats found in road cars; RM16k

If your office chair is a bit dull and boring, Mercedes-AMG is here to remedy that with this aptly named AMG office chair. Based on the AMG Performance seats fitted to the automaker’s compact models – think A 45 or GLA 45 – The fancy interior weighs 32 kg and will cost you quite a bit.

The official retail price is 3,500 euros RM15,899) and it will be quite exclusive, with the first 50 units being reserved exclusively for Private Lounge members. The company may make the product available to non-members in the future, but if you want to be one of the first in the world to own it, you’ll have to sign up.

For the big bucks, the AMG Office Chair looks great, sporting black Artico artificial leather and Dinamica microfiber upholstery. This is combined with contrasting red stitching and accents, along with painted metal as well as AMG badging.

There’s no electrical adjustment like the seats you get in an AMG, but the office chair has armrests that can be adjusted manually for height, width and post. The footrest is also extendable and has adjusters for the backrest and seat angle, rounded off by increased thickness.

So if you enjoy the feeling of sitting in an AMG chair on your way to work and still want the same cushioning for your lower body while in the office, paying close to RM16k you’ll get that privilege. Are you ready?
