The new one Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV will only launch next week on April 19, but leaked images of the brand’s upcoming flagship electric SUV have surfaced online thanks to Instagram users. Cochespias.
Seen in all its glory, the EQS SUV’s sporty design cues are reminiscent of EQS before it, which includes a grille covered with a glossy black finish as well as a full-width light bar. The latter linked to the headlights (possibly Digital Light technology) bearing the daytime running lights signature of dashed lines, combined with what should be the fog lamp housings and a smaller air intake.
Along the sides, we see flat door handles with a curvaceous body, along with a board running between the wheels. As for the rear, it also has an EQS-like light bar, and the graphics used for the taillights have a similar appearance. The images also show two different examples of the EQS SUV, with one sporting flashier wheels.
One aspect of high-performance EVs that is not surprising is inland, as Mercedes-Benz very much revealed last month. Again, like the EQS, there’s a 56-inch curved Hyperscreen display panel made up of three screens, turbo-style and slim air vents, while rear passengers can enjoy a pair of entertainment screens. 11.6 inch position.
The big difference here is that the EQS SUV offers a third row of seats that can accommodate seven people. While the official images show a rather luxurious living space, there will be an even more lavish version of the Maybach, as previewed by Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS – this will come after the regular model launches.
As for the powertrain, the automaker says the upcoming EQ model will come with 4Matic all-wheel drive, which pretty much confirms the dual-engine setup. The EQS 580 4Matic sedan has a dual-motor 523 PS (516 hp or 385 kW) and 855 Nm of torque, and this powertrain is expected to be used in the SUV as well, with the addition of Added Off-Road driving mode.
