Meghan Trainor is officially a mother of two! The pop star and her husband, Daryl Sabara, welcomed their second child on July 1. In an Instagram post, Trainor’s Barry Bruce Trainor said “is a big boy, weighs 8 pounds. lbs 7 oz… and tilt (horizontal), but we had a great, successful cesarean section and I finally had skin-to-skin time!” She then offered her “thank you to all the wonderful doctors and nurses who took such great care of us.” Barry’s birthday was “the 7th anniversary of our first day,” Trainor said. Trainor revealed that they are expecting a baby boy on the episode “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in April.
Trainor and Sabara, 31, also share son Riley, who was born in February 2021. Trainor, 29, announced her second pregnancy in January of this year. Trainor has been very vocal about her second pregnancy, including revealing in February that shortly after learning she was pregnant, she experienced a pregnancy scare. Turns out she was suffering from implantation bleeding. She also told E! News at the time that she faced more nausea during her second pregnancy.
But what she said was a lot easier the second time around is that she now has a community of other moms to lean on, including fellow celebrity Hilary Duff. “I have mom’s friends now,” she told the outlet, revealing that Duff had invited her to take a class on mom and me. And some of those friends are expecting too. “Now I’m pregnant with someone else. And it’s the best feeling. This time around it’s been so much better,” she told E!
In April, Trainor released the book “Dear Future Mama,” described as a “TMI Guide” to pregnancy and early motherhood. Riley appeared on the cover with Trainor. Earlier this year, the singer also released the song “Mother”, in which she sang over and over again “Mother is my mother”.
