McDonald’s customers have only a glimmer of hope in their despair

It’s one of the more horrible things in the world.

Worse than a cyclist running a red light. Sadly, watermelon only tastes like water. Yes, it’s even crazier than watching any kind of political news TV.

Because this is what’s been happening across America for too long.

You walk into a McDonald’s and the ice cream machine breaks down. No vitality. No function. Or just plain dirty and no one wants to clean it.

Result? You don’t get a McFlurry.

Also: McDonald’s just threw technology out the window (well, their customers did)

As an occasional McDonald’s customer, I’ve been following this madness for a while. Thanks to a website named McBrokenI just learned that, as I write, 24.49% of McDonald’s ice cream machines in New York are not working.

That’s (almost enough) a quarter. It’s simply bad business.

Still, it’s a business that’s been a huge disappointment, in part because so many people fear McDonald’s has never done enough of it.

In March, I wrote about a lawsuit in which a company called Kytch sued McDonald’s because it doesn’t think the burger chain is doing enough to ensure that customers can get ice cream when they want.

In essence, Kytch thinks it has a simple, inexpensive solution – called the Kytch Solution – to make sure the ice cream machine is working properly.

Technical explanation, courtesy of Kytch’s attorneys: “The Kytch solution pulls data from McDonald’s soft servers, displays it on Kytch’s user-friendly interface, and adjusts settings hidden deep in the machine, which can prevent outages in advance. when the machine can detect the error.”

It borders on happiness, doesn’t it?

Kytch has also filed an injunction against the Taylor Company, which actually manufactures and maintains the machines. Kytch claims that Taylor created a device that Kytch thinks is so similar to its own that its trade secrets are said to have been stolen.

This is a piece of hope. An existing judge, Motherboard reportallowed Kytch’s ban – filed a year ago – to continue.

Can I promise franchisees will now feel comfortable using more Kytch devices, so you can be sure to enjoy more? No, I can not.

I can say that Kytch’s co-founder, Jeremy O’Sullivan, told Motherboard: “This is an important milestone as we now have the opportunity to pursue justice beyond the serious misappropriation of trade secrets. our trade.”

Worse, Kytch said, Taylor allegedly went around saying the Kytch Solution wasn’t secure.

I worry about the look on McDonald’s face in all of this. It seems it has let this situation last longer than a Big Mac falling into a gap on a sofa in a brother house.

Why don’t you want your machine to work more efficiently? Why don’t you want to find the best technology solutions to ensure that?

In fact, how has the management of McDonald’s been able to endure this bad situation for so long? Is there a website that is practically watching and mocking your incompetence and you’ve let it go on for too long?

Then there are all your frustrated regular customers, forced to seek out lowly pleasures, such as frozen yogurt.

At the time Kytch sued McDonald’s, declare: “McDonald’s owes it to our customers, crew, and franchisees to uphold our rigorous safety standards and to work with fully tested suppliers in that pursuit.”

I feel sure you will explain word for word of that.

Of course, the law tends to move very slowly. This is something tech companies have been taking advantage of for years.

But if the Kytch solution is really simple and can be more effective, maybe McDonald’s, Taylor and Kytch can get along, instead of sounding like a big law firm?

All customers want is a McFlurry when they crave it.

You would think this wouldn’t be too much to ask. You would think this could even be profitable for McDonald’s.
