PointsBet USA has Woods at +8000 ($10 bet to win $810 total) to win his sixth green coat. That means 29 golfers are leading Woods in terms of winning the Masters championship.

In other words, bettors were less afraid of Woods’ victory. But thanks to betting on the Masters, there are plenty of ways to help Woods achieve success in other ways.

PointsBet has six Woods related markets:

  • To make a cut (-200, bet $10 to win $15 total)
  • To make a hole in one (+4500, bet $10 to win a total of $460)
  • To get an eagle in Round 1 (+425, bet $10 to win $52.50 total)
  • Leading after Round 2 (+5000, bet $10 to win $510 total)
  • For a bogey-free round during the tournament (+400, bet $10 to win a total of $50)
  • To defeat Sergio Garcia head-to-head (-121, bet $10 to win $18.26 total)

“Of the Tiger Specials, Woods hitting a hole-in-one at +5000 is by far the most popular,” said Wyatt Yearout, director of media analytics at PointsBet. “When looking at all the Tiger Specials as a whole, a loss-in-one bet represents 35% of all Tiger Special bets, as well as more than 50% of the money.”

In terms of ticket count, Woods makes the header the most popular choice among PointsBet’s Tiger props.

And Woods’ head-to-head with Garcia saw an interesting showdown through Wednesday morning. As noted above, Woods is a modest favorite of -121, with Garcia at -115 (bet $10 to win a total of $18.70).

“Currently, Woods has taken 100% of the bets on the market,” said Yearout.

Support Woods to win

And, of course, even with longer odds for Tiger — and perhaps because those longer odds represent bigger payouts — customers still favor Woods winning the Masters. In Bet FOX, Senior Director of Trading Operations Dylan Brossman said Woods had as long as +10000 and as short as +5000 (50/1). Now he’s right in the middle of those numbers, at +7500 advanced wins.

“Amazing, unexpected, Tiger Woods is our biggest responsibility to win The Masters,” Brossman said, before noting Woods’ other markets. “We’re short on Tiger to make the cut at -250, so we haven’t attracted significant interest so far. However, we’re offering a generous boost to both Tiger as well. and Rory McIlroy to make the reduction, at +100 (bet increase).”

McIlroy is the favorite in FOX Bet odds to win the Masters, join Scottie Scheffler at +750.

“Our greatest liability in this regard is currently Max Homa (+3000). We set Homa as high as +8000 last July and as low as +2500 last week,” Brossman said. “The Big 3 (McIlroy, Scheffler, Jon Rahm) have gobbled up a large number of controllers, but their relatively short price tag protected us from any major liability for any of them.”

Rahm is just behind McIlroy and Scheffler as the +1000 third pick to win the Masters.

“Unlike most leagues, the current McIlroy would be a very favorable outcome for us,” Brossman said. “His short price tag, coupled with the field of stacking, seems to have scared people off Rory to win his first Masters. Similarly, Rahm will make us go. Totally positive. However, Scheffler will be a small loss.”

LIV and Let’s Live

The LIV Tour golfers are eligible to compete at the Masters and the 18 members of the new tournament will tee off at Augusta this week. Among those players there are certainly some who might wear the green jacket on Sunday night, including Brooks Koepka (+4000) and the winner of 2020 Dustin Johnson (+2800). Of course, Phil Mickelson — three-time Masters champion — is a well-known player, even though he is a +20000 long shot at FOX Bets (bet $10 to win total $2,010).

“Brooks Koepka is our biggest responsibility at this point outside of LIV, closely followed by DJ and Phil,” Brossman said.

FOX Bet also has a basis on whether any LIV golfer has won the Masters. -909 favorites (bet $10 to win a total of $11.10) and Yes a +600 Boost bets for the weaker team (bet $10 to win a total of $70).

“We are seeing more people interested in Yes, putting the bank in one of the 18 to bring it home,” Brossman said.

Sharp face

A keen Vegas golf bettor is drawn to three players at Masters futures odds, and two of these three are LIV Tour golfers.

“I jumped on Brooks Koepka early,” he said of the massive +9900 Koepka bet. “He reunited with [coach] Claude Harmon III. Koepka won all four of her majors with Harmon. Koepka rested, and 1680741029 He’s a force.”

In addition, bettors have Jordan Spieth early at +2800 and above Johnson at +3500.

“Spieth was made for Augusta and is in the works. And DJs have too much value at 30/1 or so,” he said.

The bettor certainly had the best numbers for all three golfers. Spieth is currently the fourth pick at most sportsbooks, in the +1800 range, while Johnson is around +2800 and Koepka +4000.
