The best time of the golf season arrives once again as the beauty of April envelopes Augusta National Golf Club this week. The 2024 Masters is already another star-studded tournament with a packed field featuring the world’s best golfers. Jon Rahm is defending the green jacket, while Scottie Scheffler enters as the favorite aiming to win his second Masters in three years. They happen to be CBS Sports’ two top golfers. Rory McIlroy is once again attempting to complete his career Grand Slam and five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods is back in action for the second time this season. Most everyone else in the field wants to wear the green jacket for the first time on Sunday.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms forced Augusta National to postpone the 2024 Masters with Round 1 starting about three hours late, meaning play from the first 18 holes will end on Friday morning. Currently, you can view the school’s location by Updates and highlights on the Masters leaderboard from Round 1.

While attending the Masters is a dream for many, watching golf play on the biggest course of them all is a treat every year, and we at CBS Sports are excited to bring it to you. Details about the Masters throughout this week.

CBS Sports offers extensive, weeklong coverage across all of its platforms with traditional 18-hole broadcast coverage starting with the third round on Saturday and the final on Sunday . Jim Nantz, in his 39th consecutive year covering the Masters, served as host for the 37th time. 2008 Masters champion Trevor Immelman joins Nantz as lead analyst at the Masters for the second time. Nantz and Immelman link up with CBS Sports’ incredible golf team, including on-course reporter Dottie Pepper and the legendary Verne Lundquist, who will be named his final Master.

Scheffler, McIlroy and Rahm top the odds table Enter the Masters. Right behind them are the likes of Xander Schauffele, Brooks Koepka and Jordan Spieth, who are all hoping to compete. Spieth, the 2015 Masters champion, is still looking to recover from a disappointing finish to his 2016 tournament, while Koepka hopes to complete the third leg of his career Grand Slam with the title. The PGA Championship and US Open are within his reach.
