Marvin Musquin retains his Red Bull Straight Rhythm achievement
2022 Red Bull Straight Rhythm
Marvin Musquin produced a 250cc premium classifier at Huntington Beach State Park this past weekend to win his fourth Red Bull Straight Rhythm title, against Ken Roczen.
Musquin has already won the 2014, 2016 and 2017 versions of the race and this time the 32-year-old from La Réole entered the event without having ever raced two strokes.
However, he was the star attraction in the 250 cc class, as he beat qualifying leader and defending champion Ken Roczen of Germany after great races and finished the shot before the finale.
Roczen overcame the hopes of US host Justin Barcia – who went on to finish on the podium – with a massive backstroke on the second run to secure his spot in the final.
Musquin’s undefeated record remains intact, though he pulled off a comeback win over Josh Hansen in the second leg of the semifinals to set up a showdown with Roczen.

“For some reason, to be honest with you, I think it would have been a lot harder than that. It is clear that rain plays a role in many factors. Kenny has been really, really fast all day. “
The 125cc class also didn’t disappoint as defending champion Brown swam around the corner on a 22′ Yamaha YZ125 bike to meet his 19-year-old compatriot Josh Varize in the final.
In his second run, Brown performed a trio in the rhythm section in tough wet conditions to win the second class against a sold-out crowd.

“It was crazy. But man, he rode well. I definitely had to triple that and I’m glad I did. It means everything to me. I love two. brushstrokes “.
