Loyal dog will not let his brother suffer alone
There’s no smile we all get like the one when someone asks you to reminisce about your childhood dogs. Children and dogs have the purest loving relationship. It’s hard to explain why they go together so well, but Science has shown that growing up with a dog has many benefits for children. Children who grow up with dogs often develop stronger immune systems and better emotional intelligence.
Dash, still not a year old, is the second dog of the Smith family. He is also an emotional guardian and best friend to their son Peyton. Jillian Marie Smith told The Dodo how close these two are.
“Dash has made the life of the whole family happier. Above all, for Peyton. If you ask Peyton, Dash is his friend.”
Smith was lucky enough to snap lots of pictures of Peyton with his arm around his best friend. Literally, both rely on each other to donate!
Recently, Peyton got into a fight with his sister and his parents decided to give him time to think about his actions. He was only meant to be there for a few minutes. When Smith arrived to pick up her son, she saw him with his arms crossed in front of his signature dash. The dog doesn’t want his best friend to be alone!
“I can’t stay mad for long because the way Peyton puts his arm around Dash is so cute. When Peyton had to take all the time off, I think Dash knew he needed his friend.”
Well, that doesn’t sound like a punishment at all. But who can blame Smith for not wanting to part with the festival of love?
The Smiths have had Dash since he was a puppy. Since then, he’s grown by a ton, and now seems to have surpassed Peyton’s growth rate (for that size).
However, the two will grow up together. And hopefully, we’ll continue to see more photos of them go viral, just like this one did! The internet loves it all, obviously:
“Our pit/mastiff combination will help him get time out with our daughter. What a beloved son. ” – Kim Frankie-Hoormann via Facebook
“Whenever I reprimanded my son, our little girl would squeeze herself between us. Then she will fight him to help him escape the perceived danger. So sweet. She was very loyal. “Pennie Sue Acosta via Facebook
I’m glad dogs have no concept of human timeouts (or else choose to ignore them!)
