The Lotus Eletre Configurator Ready to be pranked. There aren’t many customization options to play with, but the overall experience is quite enjoyable. The outer palette includes seven color. The weird thing is, try whatever browser we can, we can’t get the names of those seven colors to appear anywhere. The menu looks like black, green, red, gold and tri-silver, but clicking on the latter three will reveal what looks like a metallic silver, a flat gray and something tinged with pink. Same goes for the interior, which comes in green, black, white or beige. All but black leads to a two-tone cabin.
Everything is much easier with wheels. The petal-shaped rims are black or black with polished accents, the center cap is Lotus flower yellow or black and the caliper is yellow, red, green, black or charcoal.
For those of you unsure of how Eletre looks, the fully provided Animations, Snapshots and Environments sections can help you get started with styling – that’s it for us; a red Eletre under the international scene speaks to us in a way yellow debut model did not. However, a few caveats. Choose your color in one of the Environments; Ambient lighting in Beautyshots changes vehicle lighting like it does in real life, such as turning bright yellow calipers into dusty gray. Animations showing features like the aero shutters in the grille and rear spoiler in action take a few clicks to do. And again, just like in real life, Eletre just does what you tell it; if you leave the hatch in the Launch animation and then click on the Guide or Front Door on the left, the launch will still work. Click on the city environment with the driver’s door open and open and you’ll clearly see what Eletre looks like at the end of a shopping spree, a feature we’ve never seen in a configurator before. .
