Ligue 1: Mbappe and Messi combine twice as PSG beat Nantes 3-0
Paris Saint-Germain completed a dominant performance and beat Nantes 3-0 in Ligue 1 on Saturday at the Beaujoire Stadium.
Kylian Mbappe scored the first goal in the 17th minute. Messi dribbled the ball from the middle of the field and put the ball in the path of the Frenchman.
Mbappe dropped his shoulder and worked the ball into the top right corner to put his side ahead.
To add to Nantes’ misery, defender Fabio was shown a red card in the 23rd minute for a tackle on Vitinha. The PSG midfielder was injured and had to be replaced by Renato Sanches.

Nantes somehow survived the onslaught from PSG for the remainder of the first half and entered the break in the 15th minute with just one goal.
Messi and Mbappe worked together well in the second half to double the advantage for the away team. The goal was canceled for offside but VAR ruled in favor of PSG.
Mendes scored the final goal of the game from a counter-attack after Neymar’s shot hit the woodwork.
The win brings PSG back to the top of the Ligue 1 table with 16 points from six games. Olympique Marseille took the lead today but PSG’s three goals today ensure a superior goal difference of more than 20.
Now, PSG will face Juventus in the opening match of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
