Leader Energy chooses BMW electric vehicles for its fleet

In a move towards more sustainable and responsible mobility solutions for businesses, Leader Energy Group has announced the acquisition of several new electric vehicles (EVs) for its fleet through a partnership with BMW Group Malaysia through its authorised dealer Wheelcorp Premium.

Based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BMW Group Malaysia and Leader Energy to enhance EV charging infrastructure across the country, Leader Energy will add some of the latest BMW i models, including BMW i4 eDrive35, BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport And BMW iX xDrive50 for the company’s fleet.

The move marks an important first step in Leader Energy’s commitment to transitioning to more responsible mobility solutions, with the aim of significantly reducing the company’s CO2 emissions across its entire operations. Plans are afoot to further expand the company’s fleet with additional BMW i EVs over the coming year.

As a leading provider of premium electric vehicles, BMW Group Malaysia is delighted to support this transition through our state-of-the-art BMW i models,” said Sashi Ambihaipahan, Director of Corporate Communications and Sustainability at BMW Group Malaysia.

“We hope this initiative will act as a catalyst to drive other large, like-minded organisations to adopt Clean Mobility practices and realise the long-term benefits of transitioning to electric vehicles, incorporating more responsible technology into their overall business operations,” he added.

Leader Energy, together with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities, is an independent power producer principally engaged in the development, ownership, operation and maintenance of power assets and projects. In partnership with BMW Group Malaysia, Leader Energy is developing a number of fast charging sites on the North-South Expressway PLUS.
