Launched teaser of Hyundai Ioniq 5 N – hear “Virtual Grin Shift (VGS)” and fake engine noise while operating
Hyundai has released another trailer for the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, which will be the first electric vehicle of the N division. The Ioniq 5 N in these teaser photos don’t show anything of them. We haven’t seen it before when Hyundai released images of it undergoing winter testing in the snow.
The new information is in the accompanying demo video below, where we can hear the Ioniq 5 N in action. You can hear the sound of the fake engine as well as the operation of the Virtual Grin Shift (VGS). Previously, these features were previewed in another video, but that video showcases another vehicle – the N22e. What do you think of the futuristic engine and the changing sound?
Later in the video, we can also see the Ioniq 5 N gliding on the track, as well as a scene of the brake calipers with the N logo on it.
Some Australian media that had the opportunity to test drive the Ioniq 5 N prototype also reported about a larger battery size of about 80 kWh, a slightly higher capacity than the 585 PS, 740 Nm. Kia EV6 GTelectronically variable dampers, e-LSD, variable torque control and drift mode.
