Defense attorney Mark Richards praised Kyle Rittenhouse’s lengthy testimony to the jury last week, saying the prosecution was unable to damage his client’s credibility.

Richards said: “Can Mr. Binger catch him and figure out the little things about it?” “A little bit.”

“Has he damaged his reputation?” Richards continued. “I do not think so.”

Richards went on to say that Rittenhouse decided to testify in his own defense – a move often seen as risky in criminal trials, as he wanted the jury to hear his views on what happened that night.

Richards said: “Kyle Rittenhouse had no witnesses to come forward to tell his story. “It was told via video. He wants you, as a juror, to hear his personal experience of the 25th night.”

Richards added: “He knew Mr. Binger would cross-examine him for hours, and he was willing to stand on that witness stand, take the oath and tell his story in the best way possible, and he did so.
