KTMB adds four more ETS trains to Hari Raya Aidiladha in 2023; 24 additional services from June 27 – July 2

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will add another four ETS trains to its service for the northern region for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha festival to be held at the end of June this year, Bernama report.

Additional train services will be for ETS 9283 for the Padang Besar-KL Sentral line, ETS 9286 for the KL Sentral-Padang Besar line and ETS 9181 for the Butterworth-KL Sentral line as well as the return journey. These additional trains will run from June 27 to July 2, and a total of 24 additional services will be provided during that period.

These will bring the ETS service to a total of 36 daily trips, compared with 32 on normal days, according to a statement by KTMB. Tickets for the additional trains will go on sale from 10am on June 1, Thursday.

The additional ETS trains are intended to meet the high demand for tickets during the festival period and reduce congestion in the area. balik kampung migration and 1,260 additional tickets sold each day will bring the total number of tickets to 7,560, including tickets for business class coaches, the company added.

Commuters are advised to purchase tickets through the KTMB Mobile app (KITS) or from their official website.
