“Good feeling! Joining the KTM family again, it’s all starting to feel pretty ‘real’ now. I’ve been thinking about this moment for quite some time. Finally getting to see the colors of 2023, myself in a suit and all the preparations for the upcoming season. It’s great to be back at KTM and catching up with everyone; it was a bit of a special taste before we hit the action in Malaysia.“
For the fourth year in a row, Brad Binder will be one of the KTM RC16 riders in the company’s successful MotoGP race. “It feels like a long season so I’m super excited to get back on track and start over. My fourth year in this class, and I feel the best chance by far to really achieve something will be in 2023. We’re ready, so let’s go to Sepang and see the dates. What does that first bring us?.”
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing was at the top of the KTM road racing pyramid and was a structure that saw participation and presence at every world championship etc. At the height of the sport, KTM has been a 7-time MotoGP champion with 18 podiums and 3 Poles since 2017. KTM RC4 gear has won 5 titles and 80 wins in the Moto3 category since its inception. founded in 2012 and the bike’s technical base has been responsible for the development of emerging talent in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, Northern Talent Cup and Austria Junior Cup.
Francesco Guidotti – Team Manager Red Bull KTM
“Definitely finishing 2nd in last year’s Team Championship is the thing to do and to have a starting point for the future. That’s important because it means the team works well together and the atmosphere is great. There will be 21 GPs this year and it’s important to be competitive and stay in the top 5, then we also have Sprint races. We are a factory team and the only goal we can have, the only goal, is the title. Easy to say but not easy to get! But this is the main goal. Everything has to work, especially now that we have less time to make the right settings in different conditions. That’s the basic thing you need to do; form a cohesive and effective team to face those daily challenges. Our riders – Jack and Brad – are a special combination and the team will be strong because of two special personalities..”
Pit Beirer, Director of KTM Motorsports
“We are entering our seventh season but I feel like six years ago it was amazing to build the project to this level and already have these victories and podiums in place. It’s been a crazy journey and we’ve enjoyed it but it’s not enough to just ‘be there’ anymore and be a good, organized team; We need results. I feel extremely confident with the two boys we have on board. I feel that Brad and Jack are different but in the end they are both the same. They’re pushing really hard and that’s exactly what we needed. As usual, we enter a long – and very different – racing season with a lot of work and effort from the people and partners behind us: from all the engineers at the factory, the test team excellent and new and trusted sponsors. We’ve made a big push to make 2023 better than ever.“
Hubert Trunkenpolz, Member of the Executive Board, KTM AG
“The impact of MotoGP on business is huge. We organize races at the factory in general and MotoGP in particular to raise brand awareness and a really good return on investment. It makes a lot of difference if you finish on the podium, so this should definitely be the goal in 2023. In terms of business, we had another record year and we closed the year. 2022 with nearly 2.5 billion in revenue with more than 375,000 motorbikes sold. all-time high. Like our motorsport record, last year’s second half business results were astounding. I think our outlook for MotoGP in 2023 is very positive and what we have for the future is very promising, so great credit for this must go to the team, the riders and the effort. big that the whole factory is making right now. In addition, we want to continue with our sustainability goals for both sport and business, and remain a leading player in this series..”
