Steve Koonin is still undefeated!
The Steamboat Institute hosted a Campus Liberty Tour Oxford style debate at Cornell University on March 15, 2023. Dr. Steven Koonin and Robert Socolow debated the solution:
“Climate science forces us to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in a big and fast way.”
The debate was moderated by the Steamboat Institute The Blankley Sarah Westwood Institute. Koonin argued negatively, of course. Koonin’s opponent, Princeton (emeritus) Professor of Engineering Robert Socolow, argued affirmatively.
In the poll before the debate, 37% of the audience agreed with the proposal compared with 47% opposed. In the poll after the debate, 28% of the audience agreed versus 66% opposed. In contrast, an increase of 19%.

I’m not sure if climate alarmists have ever won an argument, if they have, I have no connection to it. This is not surprising given that 60% of US voters are likely, including 47% who strongly agree, believe that “climate change” is a religion completely unrelated to climate. They believe it’s all about power and public control.
