It’s official: the next numbered entry in Heart Kingdom series is on the way. Kingdom Hearts IV officially confirmed to be in development soon.
The news comes as part of the series’ 20th anniversary celebration. Square Enix and Disney introduced the trailer as the opening of a recommend many games. You can find the full run, with English subtitles, below:
Kingdom Hearts IV will follow a new storyline for Sora, Donald, and Goofy, titled “Lost Master Arc.” In the trailer, we see Sora waking up in a world that’s surprisingly more realistic than usual. A girl — apparently Strelitzia—Meet Sora again and announce that he has been sleeping since he came to this world seven days ago.
It is revealed that they are in Quadratum, the world seen in the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts III and Remind DLC. A giant Heartless will appear soon, and Sora begins to battle it out, where we can also watch some gameplay.
There are some mysterious characters, hooded figures, and even a final tease of Donald and Goofy. Maybe Hades from Hercules, too? That’s what I assumed when I saw such blue and red flames, anyway.
Go deep into Heart
Kingdom Hearts IV Not the only news today. Square Enix also showed Heart Kingdom Missing link, a new game for iOS and Android where players go on adventures and fight against the Heartless. It seems there is a system where the player character uses famous characters FIRE characters for special attacks, too. Closed beta is scheduled for 2022.
The last chapter of Kingdom Hearts Dark Road also set for August 2022, as a free update for Kingdom Hearts Union Dark Road.
An announcement about a Heart Kingdom quite interesting, with most recent numbered entry just launched in 2019. It took many long years to get the word Kingdom Hearts II arrive IIIso hope is the wait Kingdom Hearts IV won’t be that long. However, Square Enix has yet to set a release date or window. Either way, hopes are high for Heart Kingdom the future of fans.
